Murtaza Jessa, FCA, DChA, is a seasoned financial professional and non-executive chairman. After qualifying as a chartered accountant in 1986, he spent several years at KPMG London and later provided governance and financial advice to charities. Jessa currently serves as Non-Executive Chairman of Optiva Securities Limited, an AIM-listed investment firm. He brings this expertise to non-profit boards, advising on best practices and internal controls. As a trustee of Habib University, Jessa applies his financial insight to strengthen scholarship endowments and promote transparent stewardship. His leadership has helped establish robust governance structures that support the university’s growth and scholarship objectives.
