Arooma Naqvi, SDP Class of 2021, is transforming digital inclusion for women in Pakistan. As Program Manager at CaterpillHERs, she designs initiatives that empower women to navigate technology, build online businesses, and claim digital agency while addressing gendered barriers. Her Habib education, with its interdisciplinary focus and practical training in program design, equipped her to tackle systemic challenges, from TFGBV to financial literacy. Through research, policy insight, and on-the-ground impact, Arooma is redefining women’s empowerment in the digital era.

On 24 August 2024, Habib University’s UK alumni gathered in London for an evening filled with laughter, networking and nostalgia. Eighteen graduates – some travelling from across Britain – reconnected under one roof to share career insights and fond memories of campus life. This was the community’s second London meet-up (following an inaugural summer 2022 reunion), reflecting the rapidly growing alumni network. With campus-themed trivia, warm conversations and family members joining in, the event celebrated enduring friendships and reinforced a strong sense of home and support within the Habib community.

From Karachi to Exeter: Expanding Global Pathways for Habib University Students

Under this “4+1” progression pathway, qualifying Habib graduates receive automatic admission into Exeter’s one-year Master’s programmes in Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences.
